A brilliantly executed contemporary landscape composition, painted onto canvas by British artist Nicky Knill-Jones.
 
The composition is dominated by the expansive sweep of the sea and sky, rendered in pale, almost translucent tones of silvery grey and cool blue. Light seems to radiate across the water, creating a striking contrast between the gleaming, near-white surface of the bay and the deeper, more opaque blue of the distant headland. The horizon dissolves softly into atmospheric haze, giving a sense of both distance and serenity.
In the foreground, the mood shifts: the brushwork becomes vigorous and fractured, with quick, angular strokes suggesting grasses and wild coastal vegetation. These strokes are alive with colour—deep greens, earthy browns, flashes of crimson and ochre—energising the lower edge of the canvas and anchoring the scene with texture and immediacy.
